Cardiff City v Sunderland Live: Kick-off time, team news and score updates

Cardiff City are back in Championship action this afternoon with Sunderland the visitors to the Welsh capital.

The Bluebirds will be desperate to get back out on the field, having had a two-week break while stewing on the South Wales derby defeat to Swansea City at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Erol Bulut's men were disappointing on the day against their local rivals and will want to right the wrongs of that display today when the Black Cats prowl into town.

The Stadium of Light side are on a poor run of results, losing four of their last five matches to knock them out of the play-off picture. They sit a place behind Cardiff and are five points off them, too.
