An emotional Ebou Adams has saluted former club Forest Green Rovers for giving him one of the 'best experiences' of his career.

Adams was confirmed as Cardiff City's first signing of the summer on Friday, having signed for the club on a free transfer, and was a key part in Forest Green's charge for promotion to League One.

In a message on the club's official Instagram page, Adams said: "First and foremost I would like to say thank you to everyone involved at Forest Green. "I have learnt so much during my time at the club which as moulded me into the player I am today. I wish the club nothing but success. Thank you very much for one of the best experiences that I will never forget."
