Cardiff City manager search Live as bookmakers' favourite Sam Allardyce speaks out over his future

Cardiff City's search for a new manager has rolled into another day, and there's little sign of an imminent breakthrough.

The Bluebirds aren't in action until Tuesday's clash with Luton Town, but the need for a new boss in the hot-seat is still pressing, particularly with transfer deadline day looming on the horizon. Defeat to Millwall has left the Bluebirds in serious relegation danger, meaning the Cardiff hierarchy simply cannot afford to get their next move wrong.

Sam Allardyce remains the bookies' favourite for the top job, however he appears to have ruled himself out of the running, which you can read about here.

Neil Warnock remains high on the odds list, too, while former West Brom and Barnsley man Valerien Ismael has his admirers within the corridors of power at Cardiff City Stadium. Ex-Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi is also in the equation, while the likes of Dean Smith and Neil Lennon have also entered the running with the bookies.
