Cardiff City announce Alfie Doughty signing as Nottingham Forest boost revealed
Cardiff City have announced the signing of Alfie Doughty on loan from Stoke City.
The 22-year-old will be available for tomorrow's Championship clash against Nottingham Forest after being registered in time. He will wear the number 18 shirt.
The Stoke City man has operated at left-back and on the left wing for the Potters this term, and is now set to battle for the left-back spot in the team.
He has been limited to just 16 appearances for Stoke this season, most of which have been from the bench.
Doughty becomes Cardiff's third January signing, following Cody Drameh from Leeds United and Tommy Doyle from Manchester City.
Ryan Wintle and Max Watters have also been recalled from their loan spells.
The Bluebirds are also on the brink of announcing the signing of Norwich City striker Jordan Hugill, with speculation rife around Kieffer Moore's potential departure.
Cardiff are yet to receive any offers for Moore amid reported interest from Bournemouth but that could quickly change as deadline day approaches.
