Cardiff City 2-1 Norwich City: Late double hands Bluebirds dramatic comeback win

Omer Riza strengthened his case for the vacant Cardiff City job after watching side edge their way to a dramatic last-gasp win over Norwich City at the Cardiff City Stadium

Borja Sainz's stunner shortly after the break looked to have been enough to hand the visitors three points, and condemn the Riza to only his second defeat since take taking interim charge.

However, Callum Robinson came off the bench to restore parity in the final minute of normal time, before Callum O'Dowda lashed home a dramatic 92nd-minute winner.

The result stretches Cardiff's unbeaten to six games, and leaves them 17th in the table.

Riza revealed he was due to meet with the Cardiff hierarchy this weekend, although admitted he wasn't sure whether those discussions would have an impact on the ongoing manager search.

The absence of suspended Perry Ng and the injured Alex Robertson might not have helped their cause, but Riza will have been delighted by the spirit shown by his side, while the introduction of Robinson off the bench was clearly transformational to a contest that took some time to really warm up.
