Carabao Cup semi-final draw LIVE - Man City discover potential opponents, ball numbers, start time
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Carabao Cup semi-final draw on Wednesday, December 17.
Manchester City will be hoping to be in the hat for the semi-final of the League Cup, which would move them a step closer to booking a spot in the final at Wembley Stadium.
Pep Guardiola's side will host Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening in their quarter-final clash (7.30pm kick-off), where a winner will need to be decided on the night.
The other quarter-final taking place on Wednesday evening is Newcastle United vs Fulham (8.15pm), after which the draw is expected to get underway.
City will need to beat Brentford either over 90 minutes or in a penalty shootout in order to book their place in the semi-final of the competition.
Chelsea have already booked their place in Carabao Cup semi-final draw, and City will be looking to follow suit. the quarter-final between Arsenal and Crystal Palace has been pencilled in for December 23.

At the moment, Chelsea are the only club to book their spot in the semi-final draw of the Carabao Cup.
Three more spots need to be filled, with two being decided tonight in the ties between Man City vs Brentford and Newcastle vs Fulham.
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace is the last quarter-final to take place, but will not be played until next week.
The semi-final draw of the Carabao Cup will get underway this evening.
While there is no official start time for the draw, it's expected to get underway following the conclusion of the quarter-final tie between Newcastle United and Fulham (8.15pm kick-off).
As a result, the draw could get underway at 10pm or later depending on if there is a penalty shootout at St James'
