Carabao Cup first round draw LIVE: Bolton, Wigan, Stockport, Salford & Rochdale learn opponents
The Carabao Cup first round draw takes place this afternoon with EFL sides discovering their opponents.
Bolton Wanderers join the draw with other sides from across the Championship, League One and League Two. The first round draw is split into northern and southern sections and is unseeded.
Wanderers beat Barnsley in the first round on penalties last season, before exiting the competition on spot kicks at the hands of rivals Wigan Athletic. There could be a rematch against the Latics this afternoon.
Elsewhere for EFL clubs in Greater Manchesteer, League Two trio Rochdale, Salford City and Stockport County are also in the hat. Nearby clubs Preston North End, Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers, Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood Town are also included in the draw.
It takes place at 2.30pm and will be shown live on Sky Sports. All of the ball numbers can be found below, with first round ties penciled in for the week beginning August 8. The new season will start on July 30, so cup games will take place between the second and third league fixtures.
The draw is split into northern and southern section, just like the earlier Papa John's Trophy one was.
