Carabao Cup draw LIVE ball numbers and start time as Man United discover potential quarter-final opponents

Manchester United will bid for a place in the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup this evening when they take on Newcastle United.

It's a repeat of last season's final between the Reds and the Magpies at Wembley Stadium when goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford sealed Erik ten Hag's first trophy in charge. Fast forward to November and the onus is on United to get a result at Old Trafford with pressure mounting on the Dutchman.

Should they be victorious, all eyes will be on the draw which takes place at the conclusion of the match at Old Trafford. Two sides have booked their spot in the last eight following victories on Tuesday. Michael Carrick's Middlesbrough and League One side Port Vale are through after beating Exeter City and Mansfield Town respectively.

United will hope to join them as one of six ties on Wednesday evening. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are already out of the competition and the Reds will hope to repeat their achievement of last season.
