Canelo Close To Agreeing Blockbuster Two-Fight Deal With Eddie Hearn And It's Worth £63 Million

The first fight would see Alvarez face WBA (super) light-heavyweight world champion Dmitry Bivol on May 7.

IBF title holder 'GGG' will first take on WBA champion Ryota Murata in a middleweight unification bout in Tokyo, Japan.

Like Canelo, Golovkin will have to beat Murata to keep the third fight intact.

The lucrative deal has not yet been signed, but negotiations are approaching the finish line, per ESPN's sources.

Canelo also had a one-fight offer from Al Haymon's PBC to defend his four super-middleweight titles against Jermall Charlo on May 7.

According to ESPN, the offer is worth upward of $45 million (£33 million).

Of course, Canelo and Golovkin have already had two battles - their first war was a split-draw back in September 2017.

They ran it back a year later, with Canelo eking out a majority decision victory.

Canelo, 31, hasn't fought since beating Caleb Plant to become the undisputed champion at 168lbs.

Considering his status as one of the biggest attractions in the sport, he's been very active having defeated Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim, Billy Joe Saunders and the aforementioned Plant.
