Canadiens fall 3-1 in series with 4-0 loss to Hurricanes in Game 4
The Montreal Canadiens dropped Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final on Wednesday night, losing 4-0 to the Carolina Hurricanes at the Bell Centre.
The result gives Carolina a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, putting Montreal on the brink of elimination.
Montreal has now been held in check for much of the series after opening with a 6-2 win, followed by two straight 3-2 overtime losses.
The Canadiens now turn their attention to trying to extend the series, while the winner will move on to face the Vegas Golden Knights, who are already waiting after sweeping the Western Conference final.
More to come.
