Canadian short track team wins Olympic silver in mixed team relay
Canada's William Dandjinou, Courtney Sarault, Felix Roussel, and Kim Boutin won Olympic silver in the short track speed skating mixed team relay final on Tuesday in Milan, Italy.
Italy won gold on home ice by crossing the line in two minutes, 39.019 seconds. Canada finished in 2:39.258, while Belgium claimed bronze in 2:39.353.
Fellow Canadians Florence Brunelle and Steven Dubois also get medals as they helped Canada advance in their quarterfinal and semifinal heats.

It's the third medal won by Canadian athletes at these Olympic Winter Games, following bronze-medal wins by speed skater Valérie Maltais and freestyle skier Megan Oldham.
Tuesday's silver medal win also represents the 38th time Canadians have climbed the Olympic podium in since short track was added to the Olympic program at Albertville 1992. And there are more medal expectations for Canadian short track skaters in Italy.

The first day of competition also saw Sarault, Boutin, and Brunelle book their spots in the women's 500m quarterfinals.
Dandjinou and Roussel advanced to the quarterfinals of the men's 1,000 metres. Dubois was eliminated from contention in the 1,000 after a collision with Great Britain's Niall Treacy during their heat.
