Delgado, of Brampton, Ont., defeated England's Lauren Mackie 4-1 to advance to the gold-medal match on Saturday (6 a.m. ET, CBC Gem, CBCSports.ca) against India's Preeti Pawar.

Edmonton boxer Joshua Ofori will bring home a bronze medal after losing his men’s 80kg semifinal 5-0 to Ankush Yadav of India.

Track and field action continued at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday where Canadian Damian Warner brought a slim lead into Day 2 of the decathlon.

The London, Ont., native was fastest among all competitors in the first event of the day, the 110m hurdles. Warner's finish in 14.04 seconds earned him 969 points, however India's Tesaswin Shankar entered the day just 39 points behind the Canadian and finished the hurdles in 14.41.

Warner's ninth-overall finish in the discus, combined with Shankar's sixth-place performance saw the Canadian's lead dwindle to just three points with three events remaining: the pole vault, the javelin, and the 1,500m.
