Canada's Wilkie races to gold, Hudak grabs bronze in women's cross-country race
Canada's Natalie Wilkie claimed gold while teammate Brittany Hudak raced to bronze in the women's 15-kilometre cross-country skiing standing and vision impaired race on Monday at the Beijing Paralympics.
The 21-year-old Wilkie finished with a time of 48 minutes 4.80 seconds to edge American Sydney Peterson who claimed silver.
Hudak, of Prince Albert, Sask., completed the race in 49:27.80 to win bronze.
Fellow Canadian Emily Young placed fifth with a time of 52:06.70.
