Canada's Tyler Mislawchuk wins bronze medal at World Triathlon Championship Series
Canada's Tyler Mislawchuk captured a bronze medal at the World Triathlon Championship Series event in Weihai, China, on Saturday.
The 32-year-old from Oak Bluff, Man., crossed the line in one hour 41 minutes and 25 seconds.
Switzerland's Max Studer won gold in 1:41:08, while Spain's David Campero Del Campo finished seven seconds ahead of Mislawchuk to claim silver.
The Canadian finished the 1.5-kilometre swim in 18:39 before completing the 38.6-kilometre bike course in 51:53. Mislawchuk crossed the line after the final leg, a 10km run, in 29:35.
Fellow Canadian Liam Donnelly did not finish the event.
