Campbell Hatton reveals boxing sacrifices and 2023 plan ahead of Michel Gonxhe fight
Campbell Hatton will be hoping to put on a show next Saturday night in Liverpool, in what he expects to be his last six-round contest before targeting titles next year.
The 22-year-old has been in training for the last 12 weeks, preparing to face Italian Michel Gonxhe on March 11 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. He will face the 31-year-old Gonxhe on the undercard of Callum Smith vs Pawel Stepien on what will be a big night of boxing on Merseyside.
Such a stage is becoming increasingly familiar to Hatton, who has now built a 9-0 record, and at 22-years-old is at a important moment in his career. Hatton fought four times last year, with his last bout in November against Daniel Bartos in Abu Dhabi resulting in a devastating first round knockout win.

With such a performance fresh in the mind, Hatton revealed to the Manchester Evening News this week that he was back into training just before Christmas after a little rest. This camp has now gone on for 12 weeks, meaning that 'Hurricane' should be more ready than ever when he steps out in Liverpool next Saturday night.
He said: "So normally we do about eight weeks of solid training, but for this one I’ve had a few different dates lined up. My original date was the end of January, but for different reasons it got put back.
"I had to give up my holiday over the new year we normally go on, which ended up being a training camp. No birthday either, all working towards this date, so it ended up being a twelve week camp."
