Camogie star Niamh Mallon will be playing her part for the Tribeswomen on Saturday and the county's footballers on Sunday.

Camogie star Niamh Mallon will be playing her part for the Tribeswomen on Saturday and the county's footballers on Sunday.

The Down native made the transfer mid way through the season and made her debut donning the maroon jersey during the second half of the national league final versus Tipperary.

Reggarded as one of the best in the game, she has joined Sarsfields, who have claimed three All-Ireland club titles in a row from 2020 to 2022 in recent years, falling short to Dicksboro in the final last December.

Mallon works full time with sports data company Orreco and is part of Galway senior football backroom team in the role as nutritionist, taking over from Sinead Bradley who held the role in recent years.

She will be in Croke Park on Sunday as Galway face Armagh in the All-Ireland Senior Football final

On the pitch she contributed 0-3 in the quarter finals as Galway's overcame 2023 All-Ireland finalists Waterford.

Galway face Tipperary on Saturday in a rematch of the 2024 League final as Tipperary claimed their first league title in 20 years.
