Cammy Devlin pledges to 'do anything' in Hearts chase for Europa Conference League group stage including red card risk

Cammy Devlin insists he’s ready to take one for the team even if it means landing a red card next week in Greece – which rules him out of a possible Europa Conference League group game.

The Australian has been booked in four of his five appearances for Hearts so far this season and a caution picked up in Thursday night’s 2-1 loss to PAOK at Tynecastle on Thursday night means he’ll walk a disciplinary tightrope at the Toumba Stadium. He said: “Absolutely, I would take a red card as long as it puts the team where we want to be. It’s not about me as an individual and I’m sure all the boys who have had bookings will say the same. We’ll do anything, we’ll put our bodies on the line and show that in our performances. I definitely try. But it’s not about me. If me getting a booking or a red card means that we go through to the group stage then it’s all good.”
