Callum Robinson set for Cardiff City,Shamrock Rovers and Waterford land targets

In a bid to secure regular first team football, Callum Robinson looks set to join Cardiff City on a permanent deal.

The Ireland striker was pictured heading through the front door of the Cardiff City Stadium after securing a move away from West Brom.

Baggies manager Steve Bruce was quoted after Tuesday night's draw away to Wigan: "It looks as if he's on his way, Cardiff I think is the one that's agreed the fee.

"We always knew we had to balance the books, I wish him the best of luck if that happens. It hasn't gone so well of late for Robbo these past few weeks, but I wish him the best of luck - he's a really smashing lad and a great pro."

Robinson would be the third Irish player in the Welsh capital joining Callum O'Dowda and Joel Bagan at the Bluebirds.

On the domestic front, Shamrock Rovers have announced the signing of Viktor Serdeniuk from Balkany Zorya in Ukraine.

Serdeniuk is a former Under-16 and U17 Ukraine international and played alongside Arsenal's Oleksandr Zinchenko.

He first played for Ukrainian Premier League side Chornomorets Odesa in the reserves, followed by a brief spell at Real Pharma in July 2016, before returning to Chornomorets and making two appearances in the Premier League proper. The central midfielder, who can also play at centre-back, won the Druha Liga (third tier) with Kremin' in 2019.

Meanwhile UCD's John Ryan looks set to join the Irish exodus in Italy as he is believed to have signed a deal at Serie A club Sassuolo according to reports in the Irish Independent.

The Limerick native is a current Ireland U19 international and came through at Shamrock Rovers before moving to UCD at the beginning of this season.

Ryan is a versatile player and can operate on the right, left and centre of defence.
