Callum McGregor laughs off Celtic mask quip as captain opens up on horror injury recovery

Celtic captain Callum McGregor smirked when he was told the fan nickname for his 'CalMask' as he updated the support on his recovery.

The Scotland international suffered two fractures in a cheekbone at Alloa just 11 days before the derby triumph over Rangers.

He donned the protective gear to lead the side out at Parkhead and impressed in the comfortable 3-0 victory over Rangers.

Speaking to Celtic TV, he was asked about how he's feeling after playing with the injury.

McGregor said: "It's fine and I'm feeling good.

"It seems to have been strong enough to get through the game and I've been recovering well, so there are no issues so far."
