Chelsea's James and Mount train with ex-colleague Abraham on England duty

After a series of injury setbacks in the past couple of seasons, Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi appears determined to put those struggles behind him as he trains on his own ahead of next season. The 21-year-old has been undergoing solo drills at Chelsea's training ground in a bid to be ready after making just 15 Premier League appearances this season.

He will then go on to join the rest of the senior squad on their pre-season tour of the US, as reported by The Sun. The graduate of the Blues academy at Cobham will be hoping that these sessions can finally free him of the Achilles problems which have seen him make one appearance following the Club World Cup triumph in February and a promising start to the season.

The England international will be bidding to prove to manager Thomas Tuchel that he does not need to enter the transfer market for a new winger and that he can be relied upon consistently as The Blues hope for an improved season under the ownership of Todd Boehly's consortium.

Hudson-Odoi has never played more than 25 Premier League games in a season for the club, but will be hoping to change that this year. It is easy to forget that he is just 21-years-old as he enters his fifth full season as part of the first team setup at Stamford Bridge.
