Call of Duty Warzone Mobile: Verdansk gameplay leaks
The first Call of Duty Warzone Mobile gameplay appears to have leaked online, as per Video Games Chronicle.
The footage appears to come from the same source that posted a number of screenshots of the game over the weekend.
The footage shows players dropping out of the plane into Verdansk at the start of a Warzone game. Verdansk, of course, was the very first map that was featured in the console and PC version of the game.
There’s over a minute of action, including a firefight in which the player kills another gamer, while it also shows off the Gulag, where players are sent to after they’re killed for the first time.
It makes sense that gameplay is beginning to leak as Activision announced in March that it is developing a mobile version of Warzone, and it later said in May that the game had entered alpha testing, with an invite-only player base.
It was previously named as Project Aurora behind the scenes.
There is no clear release date for Call of Duty Warzone Mobile but it is currently slated to release in 2022, per the report.
Of course, there is a brand new console game coming later this year, with Modern Warfare 2 set for release in October.
It remains to be seen if Warzone Mobile will launch alongside the console version but that would make a great deal of sense.
It is also currently unclear if the Verdansk map will be the only one on offer for mobile players, or if there will be a selection of maps for the new game.
We’ll bring you any more updates as and when they come in, with Warzone Mobile likely to be one of the biggest mobile launches of the year.
