Call of Duty Black Ops 5: Images from new game reportedly leaked

Concept art for Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 has reportedly leaked online, as per a new report from Video Games Chronicle.

Of course, most players are currently awaiting the release of Modern Warfare 2, which is slated to hit shelves later this year.

However, it now appears that early images of Black Ops 5 are out in the wild.

The images are said to have been data mined from a Call of Duty Warzone mobile test and they appear to show concept art for several maps.

The Twitter account that shared the images, @RealiityUK, has since been suspended by from the social media site, perhaps adding some credence to the leak.

As per VGC, the leak has led to fans suggesting that the game will be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War.

It could well take place during the Gulf War, as there is an F117 aircraft included in some of the images, and the plane was popularised during the conflict.

Several images of maps from Modern Warfare 2 have been found in the files of Warzone Mobile.

Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on October 28, 2022, but Activision are reportedly set to skip the release of a Call of Duty title next year.

That would mark the first time in almost 20 years that the company has foregone the annual release schedule.

The next Call of Duty title will be led by Treyarch once Modern Warfare 2 is out, and this year’s release is set to coincide with the release of Warzone 2.0.

That is also set to hit storefronts later this year.

We’ll keep you updated with any new Black Ops 5 information as and when it is revealed.
