Calderdale local council elections 2023 results in full
Voters in Calderdale, Yorkshire, have had their say in the 2023 local elections.
Seventeen seats were up for grabs in the wards including Brighouse, Calder, Elland, Greetland and Stainland, Hipperholme and Lightcliffe, Luddendenfoot, Illingworth and Mixenden, Northowram and Shelf, Ovenden, Park, Rastrick, Ryburn, Skircoat, Sowerby Bridge, Todmorden, Town and Warley.
Ahead of the election Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council was controlled by Labour. Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council, one of five in West Yorkshire, provides the majority of local government services in Calderdale. It is a member of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority which has powers over transport, economic development and regeneration.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK. Mayoral elections are also taking place in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesborough.
Voters were only electing their local councillors in this election with the next General Election not scheduled until 28 January 2025 at the very latest.
Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 4, with the count taking place on Friday morning.
