Caitlin Clark picks up technical foul over 'scoreboard' taunt, nears one-game suspension

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark inched closer to a one-game suspension on Wednesday night when she picked up her seventh technical foul of the season against the Connecticut Sun.

With the Fever leading 95-67 toward the end of the third quarter, Olivia Nelson-Ododa was called for a foul. Saniya Rivers, Nelson-Ododa’s teammate, began to jaw at Clark. The WNBA sharpshooter appeared to tell Rivers to check out the scoreboard and before things became feistier, the officials gave them both technical fouls.

"She said she was locking me up, so I said, 'Scoreboard,' and the ref didn't like that," Clark said after the game, via ESPN.

Clark was adamant that she wasn’t going to keep her aggressive playing style at bay just because she faces a one-game suspension with her next technical foul.
