Busy road shut both ways after crash outside pub - latest updates

A busy road in Stockport is shut off both ways this morning after a crash outside a pub.

Police said the two-car smash happened on High Street in Cheadle at around 7.20am. It happened near the George & Dragon pub.

No injuries have been reported, the force spokesperson added. High Street is currently closed in both directions between The Royal Oak pub and the George & Dragon.

Traffic is slow in the surrounding areas, according to traffic alert service Inrix. Some bus services are also being diverted while the closure is in place.
