Burnley's Ashley Westwood consulting surgeon after horror injury at West Ham

Burnley caretaker boss Mike Jackson has confirmed that the club are awaiting scan results on the horror ankle injury Ashley Westwood suffered against West Ham United on Sunday.

Burnley meanwhile are still on the hunt for a new permanent manager, with just seven games left of the season to prevent relegation from England’s top-flight after six straight campaigns.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Middlesbrough and former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is the bookies’ massive favourite, with SkyBet currently pricing Wilder a 1/3 odds-on to succeed Dyche on a permanent
