Burnley open talks with Wolfsburg for striker Wout Weghorst

Burnley are in talks with Wolfsburg over a deal for prolific Holland international striker Wout Weghorst.

The 6ft6' Weghorst, 29, wants to come to the Premier League and Burnley are trying to agree terms after talks with Wolfsburg initially broke down last week.

Burnley checked on QPR's Lyndon Dykes on Tuesday and have discussed free agent Andy Carroll plus Cardiff's Kieffer Moore, who is the subject of a bid from Bournemouth.

Burnley's campaign has been beset by postponements and they currently sit bottom of the league with just 12 points, four points from safety.
