'Burglary kit' along with keys to Porsche and Audi and a Rolex uncovered in house raid after string of break-ins

A 'burglary kit' was found along with keys to a Porsche, Audi and Jeep and a Rolex watch by police who raided a house in Wythenshawe on Thursday morning (January 11).

Officers carried out the warrant at a house as part of investigations into a string of break ins across the Timperley, Partington and Bramhall areas recently.

Officers from GMP’s Neighbourhood Tasking Team and the Force Critical Wanted Unit arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of burglary and a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of handling stolen goods and obstructing a police officer. The pair remain in custody to be quizzed by detectives.

In the raid, officers found keys to a Porsche, Jeep and an Audi as well as a Rolex watch alongside a rucksack containing a 'burglary kit', found with mole grips, pliers, tracker, signal jammer and suspected class A drugs.

Chief Inspector Gareth Firth, from GMP’s Trafford District, said: “We currently have a man in custody being questioned by officers thanks to the swift actions of our officers.

"Thanks to a great team effort this morning we were able to make these arrests. Our investigation currently remains ongoing, and I would encourage anyone who may information or video footage to get in touch with police as soon as possible."
