Bulls set to lose star loosie Arno Botha
It seems the Bulls will have to make do without the services of Arno Botha, with reports suggesting that loose forward is once again looking to take his rugby career overseas.
According to Rapport, Botha is set to leave Loftus Versfeld and is currently negotiating with the French Top 14 club, Lyon.
Botha, who has a contract with the Bulls until 1 July, returned to Pretoria from Munster in 2020 and formed part of the team that has dominated domestic rugby competitions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Botha, capped twice by the Springboks, made his debut for the union back in 2011 and played for seven years in Pretoria before first moving overseas.
He turned out for London Irish in the English Premiership before making the jump across the Irish Sea to play for Munster.
Botha's agent told Rapport that negotiations with Lyon were at an advanced stage, but at this point, Botha was fully focussed on playing for the Bulls in the ongoing United Rugby Championship.
