Bulls boost ranks with signings of Mchunu, Petersen
Khutha Mchunu and Sergeal Petersen will turn out for the Bulls next season, the Pretoria-based franchise announced on Thursday.
Mchunu, a tighthead prop, and Petersen, who plays wing or fullback, were the second and third players announced by the franchise after former Lions and Edinburgh flyhalf Jaco van der Walt earlier in the day.

Mchunu (25) started his career at the Sharks in 2018 before spending time at the Cheetahs on loan between 2020 and 2021.
On his return to Durban, the burly prop became a regular feature of the Sharks pack. Mchunu will have competition at the Bulls in the form of Mornay Smith, who regularly turns out in the No 3 jumper, as well as former Stormers and Harlequins prop Wilco Louw.
Petersen (28) joined the Stormers from the Cheetahs in 2018, was the top try scorer for the franchise in the URC-winning run during the 2021/22 season.
He returns to South Africa after a season in Japan.
