Bubbling Odsonne Edouard to Celtic transfer rumour may ALREADY have answer as sworn 'fan' receives return truth bomb

He's been the name on every Celtic fan's lips with rumours exploding - but Odsonne Edouard has been told the brutal truth over the prospect of a return from Crystal Palace.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to revamp the Scottish Premiership champions for the Champions League group stage - and rumours have been circling that the Frenchman could be reuniting with his old boss with time set to be up on his time with the English Premier League club. The 26-year-old was on the fringes of the Palace squad last term - being used sparingly following the arrival of Oliver Glasner in the dugout and netting just eight goals last term.

That has sparked conversations among the Celtic diehards over a return - with a clear split emerging over a potential deal for the frontman. Edouard recently talking up his credentials as a supporter when attending the Player of the Year awards night at the Hydro.

The striker admitted that he still keeps tabs on results - and still enjoys a return to Glasgow. Speaking after the win against Rangers that all-but seal the Premiership crown, Edouard said: "I'm always happy to come back and see the fans and players and let's enjoy the night."

Asked if he still follows the team's fortunes, he added: "Yeah, every game like a fan. And I'm happy about the win yesterday and I hope we will finish well and take the title."

And while Edouard may be open to a move, there are two big factors which could halt a move. Firstly, Palace are reportedly set to demand at least £20million to allow the forward to leave this summer.
