BT Sport's Jake Humphrey shows off Man Utd's dismal lunch offering to leave fans stunned
Jake Humphrey mocked Manchester United on Twitter for their offering of lunch during the Red Devils' 1-1 draw with Southampton.
Humphrey was hosting BT Sport 's coverage of the match and was served scrambled egg and mashed potato shortly after the lunchtime Premier League match had got underway.
10 minutes after kick-off, the presenter took to social media to share a photograph of what United had given him to eat whilst he and pundits Paul Scholes and Glenn Hoddle watched the end-to-end first half.
Humphrey was less than impressed with his meal, an unusual combination which included a breakfast muffin, tweeting: "Scrambled egg and mashed potato. Wow. Thanks for lunch @ManUtd," accompanied by a laughing emoji.
Just five minutes later, the BT Sport host and Norwich City supporter, replied to his own tweet to show the difference between what he received at Old Trafford and at Manchester City 's Etihad Stadium.
The image showed Humphrey, as well as former City stars Joleon Lescott and Richard Dunne, being supplied with plates of chips and fresh sandwiches.
In his second tweet, Humphrey stated: "PS - How your neighbours do it," along with an emoji with its tongue sticking out.
Fans were in agreement, with one's cutting verdict being: "That's one of the worst things I've ever seen."
And added: "Is that even a thing?! Mash and scrambled egg? Haha."
The Red Devils took the lead in the 21st minute through Jadon Sancho to have much of Old Trafford rocking.
It was the winger's first Premier League goal on home turf since his £73million transfer last summer.
Sancho was able to tap in after Marcus Rashford broke away before found himself on the right-hand side of the penalty area and squared the ball.
