'Brutal but brilliant' - Manchester United legend Roy Keane mocks Arsenal after Brighton defeat

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane was one of the few people not in the Emirates Stadium away end who loved watching Arsenal's Premier League encounter with Brighton.

Roberto De Zerbi's side stormed to a 3-0 win in the capital - with all the goals scored in the second half in a result that dealt a hammer blow to Arsenal's title hopes. It is now Manchester City's to lose, with Pep Guardiola's side able to wrap up the league next weekend against Chelsea.

Arsenal have spent the majority of the campaign in pole position, but look certain to miss out on the trophy. City have taken charge at the business end of the campaign, while the Gunners' form has fallen off. And Sky Sports pundit Keane feels Arsenal haven't had enough to go the distance this season.

He said: "What we saw happen to Arsenal today was brutal but it was brilliant. I love watching a team just coming up short. You’re just coming up short and there’s no hiding place, but that’s why we love the game. There’s no hiding place and they were found out today.

"When you look at some of the games over the last five or six weeks - particularly West Ham and Southampton stand out for me - I know they dropped points losing at City, they had Liverpool - which can happen. You can’t win every game. They’ve won 25 league games, which is fantastic, but the points they lost against West Ham and Southampton definitely knocked them back a little bit. We saw a team (vs Brighton) that I think was physically and mentally shot, it really was.
