Bruno Lage pinpoints Wolves success to one key factor after manager of the month award

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage picked up his first manager of the month award in January.

The job achieved by the Portuguese manager in his first year in the Premier League has been noticed by many around the world.

So much so that Wolves' campaign reflects that, as they are currently strong contenders for a top-five finish.

The Old Gold outfit are already set to finish higher than last season in 13th place, currently sitting in seventh and just five pints off the top-five.

Reflecting on the work done since his arrival at the club in the summer, the 45-year-old pinpointed it to the support received from everybody, which made a difference along the way.

"I was been very welcomed here," Lage told Liga Portugal. "At the start, I hadn't given anything and I immediately received enormous support from Wolves fans and from Portugal - and have continuous;y felt support and affection from people.

"I think that people over a period of time, have reflected and thought that I have a bigger ideas and what I am as a coach, of what I am as a man and eventually the ideas have changed from the teams I coached in Portugal, I think they see that.

"And I've always felt that support from everyone, and as such it's with them that I share this award.

"The award is for talent but in this case, I think my talent is to work, to dedicate myself to my objectives in a strong way and is the biggest demand I have with those who work with me - to have that dedication to work."
