Bruno Lage and Wolves receive double injury boost

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage could receive a huge double injury boost ahead of lining his side up to face Sean Dyche's Burnley on April 24.

Wolves won't be in action this weekend due to games being rescheduled due to the FA Cup semi-finals taking place, and will have to wait 13 days until they are next in action against relegation-battling Burnley, which may come as positive news for some fans, after witnessing their side put in a forgettable performance against Newcastle United last Friday.

Two reasons which could have suggested why the performance was so lacklustre were the absences of both Daniel Podence and Leander Dendoncker, two key figures in the side which were missed massively. However, going into their next fixture, Lage may be set to receive a huge boost, as both of these players look set to make a return to the line-up.

Foot

He was unavailable due to a foot problem. The 26-year-old had been restricted to gym work in the days leading up to the game and it's unclear how severe the injury is.

Illness

Dendoncker picked up an illness in the build-up to the game and wasn't able to make the trip to Tyneside.

The news arrives after Lage provided the following news after the defeat to Newcastle, where he stated the Wolves duo "For the next game. We don't have a match in the next week, but I think with the couple of weeks we have in front of us I think they will be ready to return to the team."
