Bruno Fernandes reveals Manchester United dressing room reaction to Chelsea draw

Bruno Fernandes said there was a 'lot of disappointment' inside the Manchester United dressing room following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford.

After taking a 70th-minute lead via Fernandes' first Premier League goal of the season from the penalty spot, United were pegged back just four minutes later through a wonderful effort from Moises Caicedo.

The Chelsea midfielder brought the Londoners level, firing a low volley past Andre Onana. The ball fell invitingly for the former Brighton & Hove Albion man after United failed to deal with a corner.

United, as a result, have won just one of their last six Premier League matches, leaving them 13th in the table. Fernandes admitted there was a feeling of frustration among his teammates.

"Everyone knows how much I wanted the goal to come," Fernandes told Sky Sports. "I need to help the team with goals and assists.

"It's been one of the most disappointing things this season - but I got some in the cup. Now scoring in the Premier League.

"It was a lot of disappointment in the dressing room. We could have won the game."

United have won one and drawn one since Ruud van Nistelrooy was placed in caretaker charge after the sacking of Erik ten Hag last Monday. The former striker will take charge of two more matches before handing over to new head coach Ruben Amorim during the upcoming international break.
