Bruno Fernandes praises three Manchester United players following Leicester win
Manchester United attacking-midfielder Bruno Fernandes praised teammates David de Gea, Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst for their contributions in Sunday's 3-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford.
United, who are now unbeaten in each of their last eight matches, tightened their grip on a top-fourth berth thanks to two goals from Rashford and one from substitute Jadon Sancho. Rashford broke the deadlock after 25 minutes, burying a low shot past goalkeeper Danny Ward, ahead of doubling his and the Reds' tally 11 minutes into the second half.
Sancho, who stepped off the bench at the interval to replace Alejandro Garnacho, finished off a crisp United move to net their third goal of the game and his second since returning from his extended absence. Erik ten Hag's side, however, had goalkeeper De Gea to thank prior to Rashford's opener after he produced two brilliant saves to deny Harvey Barnes and former Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

"I don't think we entered the game really well, we gave them some chances and David did some great, amazing saves and that is why he is one of the best in the world," Fernandes told MUTV. "We should have controlled the possession better in the first half, especially in the first 15 minutes.
"After that I think we got control of the game and obviously the second half, overall, it was much better than the first."
Rashford, after giving United a slender advantage at the interval, calmed any nerves shortly after the break, notching his 24th goal of the campaign after a VAR check for offside. He has now scored six goals in his last five games in all competitions.
