Bruno Fernandes defended over Manchester United captaincy as Rasmus Hojlund sent advice
Dimitar Berbatov has defended Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes amid the midfielder coming in for criticism over his mannerisms in Sunday’s loss to Manchester City.
Questions have been raised over whether the playmaker is the most suitable player to don the armband. Following the derby defeat to City, Reds legend Roy Keane called for Fernandes to be stripped of the armband, although Berbatov has lept to the Portugal international's defence.
And the former United forward has also sent his advice to £72million forward Rasmus Hojlund on how he can succeed at Old Trafford.

Berbatov says it would be “disrespectful” to remove Fernandes as United captain, suggesting that it would only add fuel to the fire at Old Trafford.
The former Reds striker, though, says the midfielder does “need to work on” his on-pitch behaviour, something former United skipper Roy Keane criticised following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
“I saw Gary [Neville] and Roy Keane's comments and I agree with what Gary said,” Berbatov told Betfair. “If you change the captaincy now, then it will only add to the turbulence in the team.” Fernandes has been in the role for three months after taking over from Harry Maguire.
