Brock Lesnar WWE walkout: Likely new opponent for Roman Reigns at SummerSlam revealed

Brock Lesnar may not be facing Roman Reigns at SummerSlam next month, now that Vince McMahon is out of WWE.

In some truly industry-changing news, Vince McMahon retired from WWE today, ending his 40-year reign in charge of WWE.

Vince, who turns 77 next month, will no longer serve as WWE’s Head of Creative, CEO and Chairman, effective immediately.

Stephanie McMahon will become WWE’s new Chairwoman, sharing the role of CEO with Nick Khan, who was previously the company’s President.

There’s no word on who is taking over as Head of Creative for WWE, but both Bruce Prichard and Kevin Dunn are running SmackDown tonight with Vince out of the picture.

Anyway, back to Brock Lesnar, and reports state that the ten-time WWE Champion was left furious with Vince’s departure.

Lesnar was so angry that it has been reported that he walked out of the TD Gardens, the venue for tonight’s SmackDown show.

Reports have even stated that Lesnar, in as many words, said that he’s out of WWE if Vince McMahon has retired, which you can read more about by clicking right here.

The timing of this isn’t great, with Brock set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship next weekend at SummerSlam.

The match is in doubt, with Lesnar walking out of SmackDown tonight, but WWE is drawing up contingency plans in case Brock really doesn’t show up for the show.

Reports from WrestlingNews.co, which have been corroborated by Cultaholic, note that Goldberg is being considered as Reigns’ new opponent for the event.
