British MMA fighter produces viral KO of the year contender with amazing spinning wheel kick

British MMA fighter Manny Akpan produced one of the KOs of the Year during his Cage Warriors 136 fight with Connor Hitchens.

Akpan knocked out his fellow Brit with a sensational spinning wheel kick in the second round with just seconds remaining.

The UFC hopeful, who earned a new contract with a spectacular first-round TKO in March 2021, narrowly missed Hitchens with a right uppercut before timing his movement perfectly to land the stunning kick flush on his chin.

The kick sent Hitchens crashing to the canvas on all fours, prompting Akpans to follow up with a couple of strikes on the ground for good measure before referee Harry Selby called a halt to proceedings.

Cage Warriors shared the footage which quickly went viral on social media.

Posted on the promotion’s official Twitter account, the caption reads: “MANNY AKPAN WITH A HIGHLIGHT REEL KO!
