British GP: How can I watch the race on TV this weekend?

Formula 1 goes racing again this weekend as the British Grand Prix returns for another year.

It’s one of the most famous circuits on the F1 calendar and, once again, a sell-out crowd is expected for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We’ve had plenty of drama over the years at Silverstone with 2021 no exception, and hopefully 2022 will provide another memorable race.

Here, we take a look at how you can watch all the action here in the UK if you haven’t been lucky enough to get a ticket…

Sky Sports, as ever, is the main place to be this weekend for every session.

Simon Lazenby will be anchoring the coverage whilst David Croft will be leading commentary with them joined by pundits and reporters like Ted Kravitz, Rachel Brooks and Martin Brundle delivering top insight and detail.

Sky use their Sky Sports F1 channel to cover every session of every race weekend live, from practice on Friday through to the race on Sunday, whilst they also have Thursday coverage of the driver press conferences.

For those without Sky, Channel 4 are also broadcasting live from Silverstone as the British Grand Prix is a protected event that must remain free-to-air.
