'Bring it back' - Man City fans react as Bernardo Silva starts against Newcastle

Manchester City fans have been sharing their reaction to Pep Guardiola's starting XI vs Newcastle United. Guardiola has decided to make two changes to the side that beat AFC Bournemouth last weekend.

The notable change is in the attacking front three where Riyad Mahrez has been replaced by Bernardo Silva. Speculation has surrounded Bernardo in recent times with the Portuguese player attracting interest from Barcelona. However, his current Catalonian manager joked earlier this week that he would definitely be featuring for the Blues when they face the La Liga side in a friendly on Wednesday.

City's other change comes at the back where John Stones is preferred over Ruben Dias who sits on the bench alongside his Mahrez.

The Blues have started their Premier League title defence in fine form having dispatched of West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth in their first two matches. Guardiola's men have managed to recover their form following defeat to Liverpool in the Community Shield.

Should City defeat Eddie Howe's Newcastle side today, the Blues will be one of only two teams with 100 per cent records in the top flight. The other team being Arsenal who defeated the Cherries yesterday in Saturday's late kick-off.

Ahead of kick-off in the Premier League, City fans have been sharing their reactions and Bernardo was dominating the conversation. Here is what they are saying on Twitter.
