Brendan Rodgers told to pin Hotline to Celtic dressing room wall to get reaction from heartless Hoops
Celtic fans are desperately seeking a spark to relight their title defence after relinquishing top spot to Rangers at the weekend. One Hoops supporter on the Hotline even wants the voices in this very column to be taken into the dressing room at Lennoxtown and Parkhead to get a reaction.
Bill Waugh emailed: “Brendan Rodgers should pin the Hotline comments on the dressing room wall every day and include Rangers fans comments because everyone and their dog can see what this overpaid, underperforming lightweight shambles is. Heartless, passionless, leaderless and not fit to wear the colours.”
Charles Buchanan said: “It's not what Rangers are doing - it's what Celtic are not doing. We shouldn't be dropping points to teams we would normally deal with. We are paying for the loss of full backs and centre backs - we should have strengthened in the last window. We could have still been five or six points clear. But there's still a long way to go it can all change in a heart beat.”
But William Hutchison, Aberdeen, said: “Hopefully this will give Brendan Rodgers and the players the kick up the backside they need. Rangers have hard game on Saturday v Hearts, we have Motherwell on Sunday. It could change again quickly.”
Jackie Smith, Drumry, said: “After Celtic only drawing on Saturday and Rangers winning and claiming top spot, will the manager go or will he be sacked? This could be a case of two Old Firm managers losing their jobs in one season.”
