Brendan Rodgers has come out swinging in the Old Firm away fan lock out row as he insisted it is NOTHING to do with Celtic.

The Hoops pulled the plug on agreement to let Rangers fans into Parkhead for the first derby of the season on September 1 after completing works to ensure away fan safety. However, they claim no guarantees were given that the same would be done at Ibrox in time for the return fixture on January 2, so withdrew the allocation for next month's clash.

Now Rodgers has placed ALL the blame on Gers as he insisted the agreement between both clubs had not been met and that the Celts were left with no choice but to return to a home fans only policy. He said it wouldn't be in "good faith" to let Rangers fans in, only to find out that the Bhoys were shut out of Ibrox for the New Year fixture.

"The club's job is to protect the support and if there's not that guarantee come the second fixture then I think it's only logical that you wouldn't reciprocate. Celtic have played their part.

"Nothing in this is Celtic's issue. Nothing. When you back to when this all started, it's nothing to do with Celtic. Celtic gets dragged into this here as a Celtic-Rangers thing. This is not a Celtic-Rangers thing, This is a Rangers thing.

"Celtic, when they're asked to have this agreement and make this stadium safe, we plough money into that, we do the works, we started months ago. From both parties, it hasn't been agreed so it not complicated, it hasn't been done. Good faith, whatever way you want to put it, it's still an agreement for both so it's not done.
