Brendan Rodgers explains one 'difference' between Leicester City and Manchester United

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers thinks Manchester United's clinicalness in front of goal was the only difference between the two sides during their 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford.

The Foxes began the game on top and forced David de Gea into several top-class saves to keep the game level. These missed chances would prove costly for the visitors in the 25th minute when Marcus Rashford broke the offside trap to give United the lead.

After the break, the Reds were much more of a threat and doubled their advantage in similar fashion in front of the Stretford End, following a VAR review. Substitute Jadon Sancho made it three on the hour mark as Rodgers' side were put to the sword.

Speaking after the game to Match of the Day, the former Liverpool boss gave his thoughts on the defeat. "We started the game really well, looked a real threat in the game, progressed the ball through well into the final third, we had chances, we didn't take them," he explained.

"They had one chance and scored and that's just the difference - in being clinical. We had enough in the first half, disappointed in the goal we conceded, Marcus Rashford.

"We've got control of the game but we give the ball away from a simple position and then they get round the back and he scores. We weren't as creative in the second half, we didn't get hold of the ball, didn't pass it well enough and then once they get the second goal, it gives a bit more comfort to them in the game.

"The chances were there but we just couldn't quite put them away. Sometimes that's the way it goes for you.

"We have shown that we have got our goal-scoring and creativity back from the last two games. Today it just wasn't to be but we created
