Brendan Rodgers confirms decision over Wesley Fofana’s involvement against Chelsea
Wesley Fofana will sit out another Premier League match with Brendan Rodgers deciding against including the defender in Leicester City’s squad to face Chelsea this weekend.

The Foxes travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday but Fofana will not face the club he wants to join, having been demoted to the Under-21 squad after failing to turn up to training.
He also watched last weekend’s defeat to Southampton from the stands and there is a growing sense that Rodgers is now keen for the sale to go through to put an end to the saga and give him funds to invest in the transfer market.
While Chelsea are yet to meet Leicester’s £80million valuation, Rodgers has confirmed that Fofana will not be involved at all at Stamford Bridge while he appeared to take umbrage with his defender’s behaviour.
Asked if Fofana will feature against Chelsea at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Rodgers replied: ‘He won’t be available for the weekend. He has trained with our Under-21 squad.’
Probed on how similar the situation is to Harry Maguire’s move to Manchester United in 2019, Rodgers rejected the comparison and suggested Fofana has been considerably less professional in how he has reacted.
He explained: ‘No, it was totally different. I was aware over the course of the summer that that could happen.
‘Harry in terms of his behaviour and his focus for the club, he was fantastic right until the last minute, then he moved on. It was different. Our focus is with the team.’
On whether he expects Chelsea to return with a fourth bid for Fofana after their three previous offers were rejected, Rodgers continued: ‘I’m not sure. It’s not my concentration. I can’t lose energy thinking so much about it.
