BREAKING: Man, 22, charged over alleged stabbing outside Middleton pub

A 22-year-old man is due to appear in court after an alleged stabbing outside a pub in Middleton over the weekend.

Officers were called out to a report of a stabbing outside the Middleton Archer, on Kemp Street, just after 1pm on Sunday (February 20).

Greater Manchester Police say that a 37-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition requiring surgery

Jordan Darcy, of Newton Crescent, Middleton, has been charged in connection with the incident.

He has been charged with Section 18 assault - wounding with intent.

Darcy has been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court tomorrow (February 22).

Officers are continuing their investigation into the incident and GMP is urging anyone with details to come forward.

A spokesperson for GMP added: "Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or video footage to get in touch with police.
