Manchester City Fan Completely Disrespects Sir Alex Ferguson Outside The Etihad In Shocking Footage

Former United manager Ferguson was in attendance for the game and as he left the stadium, a City fan decided to heckle him.

The Scot was being led away by security before being hit with a shout of: "Never in my lifetime!"

Ferguson once used that phrase when asked if City would ever find themselves above United.

Chants of "City, City, City" were also aimed at the 80-year-old who chose not to respond.

Ferguson was United manager when they last won the Premier League, in 2013.

City have won it four times since then and finished above United every season, establishing themselves as a dominant force in English football.

Fans have reacted to the footage and they think it's incredibly disrespectful.

One commented: "Disgusting… he’s an old man ffs. Get out his face."

Another added: "Harassing an old man, strange behaviour."

A third said: "Why would someone ever think this is funny or appropriate, rivals or not should never act like a c**t."

While someone put: "This is a man who made match officials scared of him, he can handle this."

Pep Guardiola's side dominated the second half, but United were in it for the first 45.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick admitted his side have a 'long way' to go before closing the gap on City.

"We came back, scored a brilliant goal ourselves then conceded another on the counter.

"It was a very difficult game against one of the best teams in the world. We conceded a fourth in the last minute of the game. It is a difficult game that shows we have a long way to go to close that gap.

"It was working. For us it was clear if we want a chance to win the game we have to do a lot of running. You have to be in attacking and hunting mode and we did that in the first half. The third goal killed us off in the end."
