BREAKING: Five flood alerts covering most of Greater Manchester issued with more bad weather imminent
A number of alerts have been issued across Greater Manchester to warn residents of possible flooding.
On Saturday night (February 19) there were five flood alerts put in place across the region, according to the Government website.
Flooding could begin as early as 4am on Sunday morning, according to forecasters.

Residents in parts of Oldham, Bolton, Rochdale, Wigan, Stockport, Trafford and Tameside are being warned to be prepared for possible flooding.
The alerts affect those living near the rivers Irwell, Mersey and Glaze.
Snow caused problems across the region's roads today in the wake of Storm Eunice.
Several rain and wind weather warnings are still in place until Monday, and have been issued for every borough in the region. Heavy rain is expected to hit the region throughout the majority of Sunday.
Flood alerts mean that 'flooding is possible', the Environment Agency says.

A flood alert for the River Glaze catchment - including Leigh and East Wigan - warns that river levels are forecast to rise due to heavy rainfall.
“Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Glaze, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Moss, Hey, Bedford and Borsdane Brooks and their tributaries,” the government website states.
“Flooding is possible at low lying land and roads around Moss, Hey, Bedford and Borsdane Brooks and their tributaries from 04:00 AM on 20/02/2022. We will continue to monitor levels closely.
“Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.”
Meanwhile, an alert for the upper and lower River Irwell give similar warnings of possible problems
