BREAKING: CCTV released after flowers cruelly stolen from Glade of Light Arena bomb memorial THREE times

Police have released a CCTV image after flowers were callously stolen from the Manchester Arena bombing memorial three times over recent weeks. The Glade of Light memorial opened to the public back in January as a permanent tribute to the 22 people who lost their lives in the 2017 atrocity.

Members of the community gathered and left flowers at the memorial on May 22, as Manchester remembered those who died, five years on from the suicide bombing. But Greater Manchester Police says that on three separate occasions in the past two months, flowers have been stolen from the memorial.

Today (June 24), police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the thefts. Anyone who recognises the man, or has relevant information, is being urged to come forward.

Chf Insp Wignall, of GMP's City of Manchester district, says: “This memorial is really precious to the family and friends of the victims as well as people across Greater Manchester who were impacted by the attack. Whilst we are carrying out our own enquiries, I ask anyone who can help identify the male in the CCTV image to contact us or Crimestoppers immediately.”
